For the last 6 months or so, Khalen Young and I have been testing new prototype race frames. If you're familiar with our current Race LT frame, this is the next level. The new frame will be called the Blackout, and will be available in next years (2013) OEM line as well as sold aftermarket coming this Spring. The new frame features an air formed top tube, a 10mm lower standover than our Race LT frame, and flat welds for a sleeker high end look. If you're looking for a new frame this summer, be on the lookout for the Blackout.

Photo above is my personal bike, and the graphic kit will be a bit different than what you see here. Frame weighs 3lbs 6oz for the Pro XL (21" model). My bike complete is 18.9lbs. I've been riding the trails a lot lately, this mild east coast winter weather is a dream come true! This young man Austin has been out there blasting some small mounds while we shred the big stuff. He's a good kid.

And this pic comes to us from ex Haro Pro Marcus Tooker he recently moved house and saw this kid in his neighborhood shredding his old Haro on a busted ramp. Marcus hooked the kid up with a new ramp for Christmas!

Met up with Seth Klinger yesterday, he is doing well in Greenville, N.C. He's been under the re-hab program of Rob Darden. Seth had the last few months off with a knee injury but is back riding and he should be 100% in a month.

Seth plans to move to Austin, T.X for a while in February.

Can't wait to see Seth shred!

ABA Grand Nationals - TULSA, Oklahoma

This last weekend in Tulsa was the 2011 ABA Grand Nationals, the final stop of the 2011 ABA National Series. Our young lady, Brooke Crain, was up for the National #1 Women Pro title while our guys Khalen and Nic were hoping to finish inside the top 5 in Elite Men. This was my [DB44] second long haul across the country this year, and thankfully Nic was cool to roll with so I didn't have to run it solo mission. We left San Diego around 11am last Monday and 18.5 hours later we were in a Waffle House food coma, roadside in the middle of Texas. After a couple hours of truckstop beauty sleep, we woke up to the sun blazing through the windows and hopped back on Interstate 40 to finish out the remaining 4 hours of the drive. We arrived in Tulsa around 4pm on Tuesday afternoon and with eyes red as tomatoes due to sleep deprivation, dropped the trailer at Expo Square and were off to the hotel to hibernate. Long drives aren't my thing, I decided.

Wednesday was setup day and it was fairly painless, especially compared to a 23 hour drive across the country. Afterwards, we treated ourselves to a nice dinner at a sushi restaurant downtown. Sushi in Tulsa? Yeah, that's what I was thinking too but since the franchise had a nice ultra-lounge feel, we thought the food could be alright. Wrong. We washed down our rubber with some Japanese beer and went on our way.

Thursday was nothing but practice all day. Pro practice ran for an hour around noon so I had a fairly short day at the track that day. I wasn't surprised to see Brooke, Nic and Khalen all looking really fast in practice, but I was however, surprised that I was still alive from last nights sushi.

Friday was the Race of Champions. This race was 450+ motos and it took all day long to run. Brooke finished 2nd in all of her qualifying rounds while Nic and Khalen were in the same qualifiers together throughout the day running 1st and 2nd together through the motos and quarter final rounds. In the semi, the boys were running 3rd and 4th when Khalen got passed in the last corner, ending his day early while Nic transferred to the main event. In the Elite Women main, Brooke was off to a good start sitting in 2nd down the first and second straightaways. In the second turn, she set up a high-low block and took over the lead, holding on to the finish taking her first big win since turning Elite.

In Elite Men, Nic lined up in the gate wearing his new hipsack that he bought from a truck stop in Texas. Who wears a hipsack these days? That was the question around the pits until Nic finished on the podium in 3rd place behind title contender Marc Willers and Chula Vista World Cup winner, Connor Fields. The magic is in the fanny pack.

Saturday was the big show, the 2011 Grand National. This was the biggest Grands in history with over 600 motos! The pro classes started at noon and ran their 3 motos and 1/4 finals during the day. Nic and Khalen cruised through motos, both winning a couple motos each. Brooke went 1,1,2 in her qualifiers. Unfortunately for Nic, he didn't have the start he was looking for in the quarter final and crashed in the last corner making his way through traffic, ending his weekend. Although unfortunate, with his 3rd place the night before, he ends his season in 3rd place overall which is amazing. Khalen transferred on to the semi final, and while sitting in qualifying position into the second turn, couldn't seal the deal and was done for the weekend as well. I think Khalen finished up 7th on the season. Finishing inside the ABA top 10 is awesome so congrats to those guys.

In Elite Women, the overall title was either going to be won by Brooke, or Dominique Daniels. It came down to the main event and whoever finished ahead would win the title, whether it was 1st and 2nd or 7th and 8th. The first two [of 3] main events were won by Dominique, who out weighs Brooke by an easy 50 pounds. This track wasn't very well suited for Brooke as she excels on World Cup style tracks, and this track was the same track raced on by 5 year old kids. With one main event left, Brooke needed to go for Broke and that's what she did. The gate dropped on the final main and Dom powered her way to the front of the pack with Brooke in tow. In and out of the second turn, Brooke went for the same pass that worked just a day earlier but this time, the two riders came together, neither backed down and both crashed. Had Brooke got up first and finished 6th and Dominique finished 8th, Brooke would have won the overall. When Brooke got up and ran to her bike, it was clear that they were the only two that crashed and would finish 7th and 8th in the final main which meant she ended up #2 for the year. She was the crowd favorite, they gave her a standing ovation for her efforts, and despite Dominique showing poor sportsmanship by not showing up to Podium when Brooke beat her the night before, Brooke congratulated Dominique like a champ.

It's been a long, action packed season, and I am glad it's finally over!!! December is going to be used for some much needed relaxation and we're back at it in Reno in January to kick off the 2012 National Season. Just thought I'd drop this little update so you guys know what going on in my life now. I moved out of State College, P.A at the end of November to go to the beautiful San Diego, C.A! I was only here for about a week and then all the roommates jumped into the new rig Dennis (Enarson) got. We started heading to Arizona for a Markit trip to continue filming for the DVD. It was an awesome trip and everyone got some bangers for the video. We just got back a couple days ago and have been chillen since.

This weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma is the ABA Grand Nationals. It's the last race of the 2011 season. Today (Thanksgiving) was practice day, and the three stooges pictured above will race tomorrow and Saturday. Brooke is up for the National #1 Girl Pro title and Nic hopes to finish out the season in 3rd while Khalen hopes to finish inside the top 6. My wife and I took our oldest son to Yo Gabba Gabba Live in San Jose on Saturday. He is a huge fan of the show and watches it religiously.

During the second half of the show, I was invited to get on stage and help do the "Dancy Dance" called the "Disco Roll". Pretty awesome! Got to meet all the characters from the show, including DJ Lance Rock and Biz Markie. Definitely a wild experience that doesn't happen everyday!

SETH KLINGER UPDATE

Right after moving on to the Haro Pro team back in June, Seth Klinger tore his knee ligaments. Look for Seth to kill it in 2012! Seth just sent us a little progress report.

What's my dudes? Just a little update on the knee and things I've been up to. Looking at little over 3 months out of surgery and knee is feeling great. Spending a lot of time on the road bike and in the gym getting my swell on. I have recently moved out of P.A and now chillin back home in Kansas to catch up with family/friends and finish healing up. I'm heading out to Greenville in a few weeks to go stay with Rob Darden and pump around "The Unit". Darden and I are both recovering from surgeries so should be interesting. Hope everyone has fun and safe holidays. One love!!

Cory Nastazio has had a big year to say the least!

He started it off filming a TV show called "X Life".

In February Cory put on his own Dirt event right in his own backyard called "Nasty Jam 2011" raising money for Stephen Murray.

Cory competed in France at "Vans Kill The Line" taking 2nd place, he made the finals at Red Bull's "Dream Line", and also competed in the 2011 Dew Tour.

Cory joined his Haro team mates on the Haro Summer UK Tour, and featured in 5 web videos including How-To No Foot Can-Can, How-To Flip Table Top, Bike Check, Catch up , Back yard set up and Vans Vault!

Add in a few more competitions, autograph signings and appearances and you have Cory summed up for the year.

Cory has a really cool fiance and 2 wonderful kids and you'd think he probably should have a 9-5 looking after his family, but Nasty loves BMX and his fans and we are proud to have him riding for Haro Bikes.

Thanks for everything Cory, you rule!

Today we had 3 demo's to start the day. We met one family that drove 3hrs to see our show so Ryan dedicated a 720 as final trick just for them. The turn out so far has been great. The Isaeli's love us and we appreciate their support.

After the demo's, he asked our friend Nimi to take us to the Dead Sea, just past Jerusalem an hour and a half away. The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth! Over 400 metres below sea level! The other fascinating thing about this place is the is that the salt level is so high, nothing can live in the water and you just float when you get in the water! The mud there is supposed to be really good for your skin, so Ryan should be sparkling next time you see him!

We finished the day with dinner back in Jerusalem.

Tomorrow is the last day for us. We plan on filming a demo to show you some footage of what's been going on.

ISRAEL DAY 4 DEMO'S BEGIN

We arrived at the trade show today at 9am for a T.V interview for the Tel Aviv News. It was pretty hilarious. The presenter wanted to try the jumps real bad, but Nyquist decided it would be safer to just film a run up shot of the presenter, then switch clothes, and Nyquist would jump the jumps, making it look like it was the presenter.
It's funny doing an interview with people that have no idea about BMX.

We spent a couple of hours modifying the lips, packing the landings and sweeping the pavers to make the place look nice then we had 3 shows, 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 9:30pm. We were exhausted by the 3rd show!12 hours at the show!

Nyquist is riding pretty good considering 10 weeks off the bike with his broken hand. He dropped a dialed 720 in the second show tonight.

Tomorrow we finish shows early and we are heading to the Dead Sea. The lowest place on earth. Should be interesting.

ISRAEL DAY 3

ISRAEL DAY 3 TEL AVIV

Today was pretty mellow for Ryan and I, Allan had to go check on things here in Tel Aviv with the distributor and he was gone all day.

Allan did report to the jumps and told us they're looking a bit loose, but he's positive it'll work out. I guess the lip's have a kink and the landings are shaped like a pyramid. We will rode the set up tomorrow morning for the local news! Then we have a demo in the P.M. That should be good.

Anyway back to today... Ryan and I rode around town, we rode a really bumpy wedge made of stones from probably a thousand years ago.
We met up with a local rider, Tal who seems like the guy in control of the Israeli BMX scene. He took us to the local skate park and there was no one there! The park was really good also and had something to interest every rider.

The pic is myself hop barring for a local's request. Ryan got the pic nicely.

We finished the day with a swim in the Mediterranean Sea as the sun set.

ISRAEL DAY 2 JERUSALEM

Today we got up really early due to a bit of jet lag and waited around till 9:30am for Eyal, the Haro Distributor in Israel to come get us and take us to the trade show site where we're doing demos later in the week.

We arrived to a paved slab where they were dropping dirt today and building some wooden lips. With not much to do we headed to Jerusalem, 1 hour drive away.

Jerusalem was something else, best described as a museum. So much history there. Eyal was the best tour guide, taking us to all the hot spots. We walked on the same stones Jesus himself walked on and we visited his tomb site, we ate the best hummus in town, and a very popular Arabic dessert. Nyquist said looked like lasagna but tasted like it was covered in sugar. None of us foreigners could eat a serving of it.

We spent the evening in Jaffa, a port in Tel Aviv with a 4000 year history! We ate at a Spanish Tapas restaurant and ate some of the best ice-cream we have ever had. Nyquist was four different flavors on one big cone haha.

Tomorrow we will ride around town a bit and chill. Shows begin Thursday through Saturday.

Brooke Takes Overall In Orlando & NIC Wins Silver In Mexico

This weekend, while Nic Long competed at the Pan-Am Games in Mexico, Brooke & I (DB44) were off to Orlando for the ABA Disney Cup; 3 rounds of pro racing and the second to last stop on the 2011 ABA Pro Tour.

In Mexico, coverage of the event was hurting, but I do have the podium photo and video from the main event where Nic brings home a silver medal. In a close race for the gold, Nic finished less than a half second behind fellow American, Connor Fields. The easiest way to explain the Pan-Am Games is to say it's a mini Olympics. If you're from South America, winning this event is huge. As an American, though, It's really just another race for our guys. What I mean in saying that, is it's not a big priority factored into the American guys' training schedules; a bit of a last minute event. In South America, athletes have this event on the top of their priority list along with the UCI World Championships and UCI Supercross series. The USA sent 4 athletes to this event, where we brought home a gold and silver in Mens Elite, and a silver in Womens elite.

Brooke and I started our weekend out on Friday afternoon in Orlando, where mine came to an end before it really started. In my second round of A-Pro qualifying, I was a victim of a shady pass attempt which resulted in a 3rd degree AC Separation in my left shoulder. Brooke's weekend went a little better than mine, though. On Friday and Saturday, she took two 2nd places, putting her in the running for the Disney Cup. Being that there was 3 days of racing, the Disney Cup would be awarded to the most consistent rider over the 3 days combined. Going into Sunday's event, Brooke needed to be 4th or better in the final so it looked to be an easy task for her. As she started through qualifying, she began to feel like she had a fever. By main time, the fever was at 102. She still decided to race, and after sitting in 5th place the majority of the lap, she just snuck by for the 4th at the finish, taking the cup. Nearly collapsing at the finish line due to exhaustion, and getting checked out by the medics, she says she feels like she might have caught strep throat from her niece before the trip. Trooper.

I'm proud of the team on the weekend, but i'll tell you one thing, I hate Orlando! This weekend I ended up with a speeding ticket, and a shoulder injury that will have me sidelined for 2 months, watching the ABA Grands from the sidelines. To top it off, I'm stuck here til tomorrow morning!

"Well, the contest season has come to an end and it’s been a crazy year. Everyone here at Haro is super happy for Dennis and all of the success he has had over the last year, he is the best dude ever and deserves all of it.

This past weekend at the Dew Championships in Las Vegas, Dennis brought home the overall in BMX Dirt. Two hours before, he nearly took over the lead to win the Dew Cup in Park. Winning two Dew Cups in the same year is something that has only happened once, but hasn’t been done for six years. If the gold and silver isn’t amazing enough, Dennis won Best Trick Of The Year with his 270 whip out of the curved wall during his run in park in Vegas. On top of that, he was voted Dew Tour Athlete Of The Year for 2011. Insane!

Also in Las Vegas, just a month ago, voted by his peers, Dennis won two awards at the annual NORA CUP Awards put on by RIDE BMX. The first award was Ramp Rider Of The Year, along with Video Part Of The Year from the video that won Video Of The Year. Needless to say, it’s been an insane year for Dennis! The best part is that all this success comes from Dennis’s only motivation, have the most fun possible. Take notes kids, this is how it’s done.

Ryan Nyquist checked in about his Vegas weekend.

"Vegas was AWESOME!!! It’s always a good time, and this year at the Dew Tour finals it was no different. Crazy riding, crazy people, and a ton of fun! Big congrats going out to Dennis Enarson for a great stop and taking the Dew Cup in Dirt. Also, congrats to Nasty for getting his wild self into the dirt Finals. As for me, I’m just happy I was there to witness it all go down. My hand is still healing up, but hopefully I’ll be good to go in a month or two. Anyways I snapped some pics of some of the things I was occupying myself with through out the weekend….

Gold and Silver for Dennis in VEGAS!!

To say Dennis Enarson has had an amazing year is an understatement! This afternoon, Dennis competed in the BMX Park final at the last stop of the Dew Tour in Las Vegas. With solid finishes in all the stops this year, he put himself in the running to take the overall cup for the tour. The riders had two 45 second runs, best run counts. After the first run for all 12 riders in the final, Dennis was tied for the lead with Daniel Dhers. The tie breaker between them would go to whichever rider had the best second run. Dennis took the lead from Daniel after run #2, but Scotty Cranmer set the place on fire and took Dennis from atop the leader board shortly after. Kyle Baldock was the last rider to ride, and had he dethroned Scotty for the win, he would have also taken the overall for the tour. With only a 5th place final run, Kyle ended up 3rd overall for the tour, with Dennis taking 2nd place in the contest and the overall in Park for the year with Scotty taking the Dew Cup. Congrats to these guys, the level of riding today was insane.

Two hours after BMX Park, was the BMX Dirt Final with a similar story. Dennis was the points leader heading into this event but with double points for the final, it was going to be a close one between him, Baldock and Banasiewicz. The format for the final was 12 riders, 3 runs each with the best 2 runs counting toward the overall. Dennis didn't have the first run he was looking for, but the second two runs were solid with huge 360 tucks followed by opposite 3 variations. We thought Dennis needed to finish 1st or 2nd to guarantee a Dew Cup, but when all was said and done he finished 4th behind Baldock, Ben Wallace and Banasiewicz. Because Ben snuck in there for the 2nd, Brett didn't separate himself enough to take the overall for the year so Dennis ended up beating him out by ONE POINT!!!! Crazy day!

Our boy Nasty made his first final in a minute and showed so much heart out there. In his first run he took a huge slam on the last set on a 720. With that slam, came a broken nose and broken knuckle. As you can tell by the photos, he was pretty worked. He still went back out there and did his best in the next 2 runs, showing that he's in it to win it. Heal up soon Nasty.

Cory Nastazio Qualifies For Dirt Final At Dew tour

It was a hot day in Las Vegas for the final Dew Tour stop of the year, But the Nasty dog, Cory Nastazio managed to hold on and stay in the finals after an impressive first run of 3.

Nasty combined 360's, front flips and flip whips to ride again in the main event Saturday.

Cory joins Haro bikes team mate Dennis Enarson in the final Saturday evening.

Dennis is the current points leaded for the Dew Cup, this is going to be one to watch! It's live on NBC Saturday from 4pm Pacific.

Dew Tour Finals This Week!

Competition will begin on Thursday at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Dennis Enarson has a really good chance at the Dew Cup for Dirt, and a chance at the Park cup also.

Cory Nastazio has been throwing down early morning sessions at home in Tehachapi, CA and is ready for the Dirt contest.

Ryan Nyquist is still having problems with his hand and is hoping to ride the event. Ryan won't be even near 80% come competition time, but he will be there.

UCI WORLD CUP: CHULA VISTA, CA

This weekend in San Diego was the final round of the 2011 UCI Supercross Series. For our riders, Nic Long and Brooke Crain, the race was being held on their home track at the Olympic Training Center. After a couple days of practice during the week, Friday was the first official day of the event and it started out with time trial elimination.

For the men, 150 riders were on hand to race but only 64 of them would be fortunate enough to advance out of the do or die, one lap no crap time trial. With this single elimination system, one small mistake in your time trial and you could be done before the weekend even starts. Nic and Khalen were in the final 20 of elimination and they didn't disappoint. A pretty flawless lap for Nic, and a solid lap for Khalen moved them on in the show with ease. Nic finished in the top 16 and advanced on to the Time Trial Super Final where he went on to finish 6th for the day.

In the women, our favorite gal Brooke Crain was straight killing it. She was 4th at the end of the time trials which moved her on to the Super Final where she had a great lap and took the top spot for the day ahead of the worlds fastest Elite Women. Atta' Girl!

Saturday was the day we'd all been waiting for. Khalen and Nic ended up in the same elimination round where Nic dominated, winning all 3 laps followed by his team mate in 2nd every lap. Onto quarter finals, Nic went wire to wire again and Khalen hung in there for the 4th place transfer spot. In the semi though, things got a bit loose in the last turn. Nic went straight to the front again followed by a rider from the Netherlands. Out of the first turn, Nic swung a bit high in the corner and got passed and sat in the second spot down the next 2 straights. Khalen was battling for 4th and made his way up to 3rd going into the last turn when it got sketchy. As Khalen in 3rd, Sam Willoughby in 4th and Joris Daudet in 5th went into the turn together, Joris went for a shady move that ended up taking all 3 of them out! Tough break for Khalen, but onto the main event for Nic. The main was stacked, and the pressure was on by it didn't phase Nic as he went to the front uncontested and was alone into turn one. Rather than guarding the inside like in his semi and getting high lowed, Nic railed the corner and got dive bombed by Connor Fields, leaving just enough room for another rider to go for the same line, sliding out and taking Nic out with him. At the line, Nic ended up 7th with a mild concussion. This same race last year, Nic won with a little bit of luck when the lead riders crashed in the second turn. This year, Nic was undoubtedly the fastest rider on the day, his luck just fell the other way this time. He'll be back strong in Boulder in two weeks.

Brookes day, on the other hand, ended up amazing. She went 1, 2, 1 in motos and looked so effortless out there. In her semi final, she got a solid start from the inside and dodged a bullet on the first jump when riders got together in air, landing 4 of the girls on the ground. Brooke went on to advance to the main event in second. In the main, she got a great start from the inside again, there was some bumping over the first jump that slowed her down a bit but gave her a good enough run to head into turn 1 in 2nd. She stayed in 2nd to the line and brought home her first World Cup podium finish at the age of 18. She has such a bright future and we are so proud of her.

Following the race, we all headed out to the UCI Awards where Khalen won the award for most improved rider of the year. As Khalen only brought board shorts and flip flops to the event, he had to go shopping for an outfit to wear to the awards. In his acceptance speech, he talked about how he'd gone out and spent $100 on his outfit and all he got for his 8th place cartwheel in the semi final was $81. Comedy.

Sunday was a normal ABA event on the track next door, Future BMX. I (DB44) raced A-Pro and Allan Cooke raced 28-35 Intermediate on my freestyle bike because his doesn't have brakes. Allan won the slowest rider of the year award and brought home a solid 4th place in the main. I went 2,3,1 in motos, 2nd in my semi and 4th place in the final for $200 cash money. I'm thinking about going to H&M and buying two of the same outfits that Khalen got yesterday.

Over the past weekend Dennis Enarson and Cory Nastazio were invited to compete in a special Dirt contest in the woods of Minnesota put on by RedBull and Anthony Napolitan.

From the airport it was 3hr drive, and only 16 riders were invited. The jumps had been made for 3 months before the event, so they were well and truly ready when the guys arrived, which is very rare.

I heard so many good things about the course from the crew there, and unfortunately the jumps were plowed yesterday to get the mountain prepared for the winter snow season. A sad day for the riders who had so much fun.

Dennis Enarson 2nd Place in SLC

Tonight under lights, Dennis Enarson kept it smooth all the way and finished 2nd place.
Dennis stays in first place points going into the Dew Tour finals in Las Vegas in October.

Dennis left the flip-whip in San Diego this weekend deciding to mix it up a little more. He went with 360 tuck no handers, bar to bar back tuck no hander out, suicide double trucks, opposite truck, and 360 double whips.

Dennis rules, stoked for him. He continues a road trip tomorrow with the Markit homies to Vegas for NORA cup at Interbike. NORA stands for Number One Rider Award, and Dennis is nominated 4/6 categories.

Enarson Takes On Dew Dirt Finals Tonight!

Tonight check your local listings on NBC for coverage of The Dew Tour from Salt Lake City, Utah.

Haro's Dennis Enarson has been riding the Dirt Jumps for a few days now and was lucky to get a free pass into the finals from the last stops win. Tonight at 7:30pm MT he goes for it alongside 11 others.

Cory Nastazio narrowly missed the final after laying down a solid 3rd run yesterday. The level of Dirt comps these days is insane! Cory and hopefully Ryan Nyquist will be back in Las Vegas for the final stop coming up October 13-16.

Nasty's Ready To Rock Dirt Prelims Today!

Today in Salt Lake City, Utah Cory Nastazio rides in Prelims at 2:30pm MT, Dennis Enarson watches from the side lines as he has a free pass to tomorrow nights final, and Ryan Nyquist is here but will sit this one out due to the injury he received in Portland. Ryan hopes to be back at the final stop in Las Vegas in 3 weeks time.

The jumps here in SLC are a nice size, down hill, a weird long and low that either requires tripling or jump to manual. You have to see it to know what I mean. There's a nice left hip into a decently sized last set.

The Haro Twitter will keep you updated on the guys all weekend.

Check this one out from the "Kill The Line" contest from last weekend in France. Nasty said it was one of the best events he's been to, super relaxed, good jumps and a good vibe.

Haro Bikes very own Cory "Nasty" Nastazio returned from the recent Haro UK trip for one day to visit his family and then he got right back on a plane and headed all the way to France, for the now annual Vans Kill The Line Dirt contest.

Alex Dropsy and crew involved with this contest take special care to make sure the line is dialed, and from the looks of this video below they nailed it again!

Cory qualified first and the following day moved to second place in the finals. Not a bad effort at all!

Cory arrived home last night and today heads to Salt Lake City, Utah to compete alongside Haro team mate Dennis Enarson in the third stop of The Dew Tour.

Back in November 2010, The Haro team visited Australia.
Cory Nastazio, Ronnie Napolitan, Dennis Enarson and myself (Colin Mackay) hit up the beach, parks and did some in stores to support the shops carrying Haro in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast.

We had an amazing time on this trip!

We headed south after spending a couple of days around Dumbarton, Scotland and the famous Unit 23 park. Thanks so much to Chick for having us stop by! It's a great park, hit it up if you ever get the chance...

We're now in Liverpool and it's raining heavier than Scotland! We're going to miss out on a trail session that was planned for today that's for sure! Sunday night from 5pm we are riding RampWorx in Liverpool, this will be our final stop for the tour, come hang out and meet the boys. Plus we're giving away a brand new bike!

Haro team in Scotland day 2 down

We landed in Machester, England and headed straight to Glasgow, Scotland, about 3 hours drive. The Haro Distro here in the U.K is looking after us nicely, we have a pretty sick rockstar style Van with TV screens, tinted windows and a personal driver. We have already hit 3 amazing parks and plenty more to come.

Nasty is probably riding the hardest and is killing it! He is easily the funniest guy to bring on a trip also, we have all been cracking up none stop. The guy is nuts!

Dennis is just ridiculous, he does things on his bike "just riding" and doesn't even film, but the things he wants to film... WOW! wait and see the DVD and story in Ride UK.

Ronnie is holding up strong, and the boss, Allan Cooke even took a big slam yesterday but got up and pulled a giant tailwhip transfer!

Today we are riding Unit 23 in Dumbarton, Scotland at 6pm, come join us if you can.

Marcus Tooker steps down...

Marcus Tooker traveled the world with his BMX, got on the podium at Dew Tour, he had pictures in the best BMX magazines in the world and mastered some of the hardest moves in BMX.

At just 24 years old Marcus has shifted into new ventures.

"I've decided to step down from the Haro Pro team as I focus on new and exciting paths that lie ahead of me. Being a part of Haro for the last few years has been nothing short of amazing. I've made some of the best friends and memories I could have ever asked for. I'll still be riding in the future as well as flying around in little airplanes shooting video and photos of everything and anything of interest. Best of luck to everyone at Haro, you guys are all awesome."

Marcus has an infectious smile and is a genuine well liked guy amongst the Haro camp and beyond, and he will be missed on the road.

We are getting excited! This weekend we depart to Manchester, England to begin a Haro team tour. We are heading up to Scotland also.

Dennis Enarson Wins Dew Dirt in Portland

Dennis qualified first for today's final for Dirt in Portland, Oregon and kept the flow going to take the win, but it didn't come easy. Australian Kyle Baldock overtook Dennis's score and Dennis had to pull through on his last run.

Dennis killed it with tech, variety and big tricks. Truck drop in, flip whip, double grab to superman, 360 the long and low, and opposite truck driving the last jump. All this plus add in a break-less Haro "SD" bike and a head wind that some other riders complained about.

Dennis is such a good kid, we are super proud of him at Haro.

Park Finals and bad news for Nyquist

Last night in Park finals at Dew Tour Portland stop Dennis Enarson and Ryan Nyquist were on fire. Both riders crashed of their last tricks in the first runs. Dennis managed to pull an amazing 2nd run filled with everything a proper park run should have in 2011, and moved up to 4th place.

Ryan unfortunately clipped on a 450 truck driver 2nd run and crashed, digging his knuckles into the unforgiving ground. Ryan new straight away that he broke his hand. At first we thought he cut himself, but when it wouldnt stop bleeding, we new the bone had punctured the skin.

After a long Saturday night at the Portland city Hospital we were reassured of the news. Ryan had broken 2 bones and is heading home for a 2nd inspection with a specialist.

Ryan is expected to be out 6-8 weeks, and has his fingers crossed for a Vegas final stop appearance in October.

Dennis was yesterday's top qualifier in Dirt, look for him live on NBC 4pm eastern.

Congrats to Haro riders Dennis Enarson and Ryan Nyquist who dominated BMX Park prelims today at The Dew Tour in Portland.

Dennis went to first in his very first run of 3, tricking every obstacle on the course, and Nyquist put all the pressure in the world on himself and moved from 21st place up to 2nd on his final run.

Finals go tomorrow at 1:30pm pacific.

This contest went down last week in Huntington Beach, CA during the US Open Surf Championships. Dennis got to choose a team including Josh Harrington and Tammy from SD, and make a video with filmer/ editer/ and also Dennis's roommate Christian Rigal. It came out really good!

Right now all the Pro's are heading to Portland, Oregon to try their luck at the 2nd stop of Dew Tour.

Haro's Dennis Enarson designed the park course, so look out for something a bit different...

This stop includes Dirt, designed by TJ Lavin and it was been talked about quite a lot on line the last few days. They built a bunch of rollers before the jumps, to make it a little more difficult for the guys that have no BMX roots!

A day in the life of Ryan Nyquist

This past Friday I had a pretty wild day. Basically, I woke up, got on an airplane around 10am, flew to Huntington Beach, hung out for 4 hours, drove back to the airport, and flew home in time for dinner. Not my usual Saturday by any means. Hahaha!

I was actually invited to do an autograph signing at the Invisalign (Clear alternative to braces) booth at the US Open of Surfing, which ended up being a lot of fun. I signed a guys prosthetic leg, signed another guys Invisalign tooth tray, got to watch and hang out with my friends who were riding in the contest that was going on there, and got to do some amazing people watching. People can be really fascinating.

Right now I'm sitting in the San Jose airport getting ready to fly up to Portland for the next stop of the Dew Tour. There's going to be dirt and park at this one so it's going to be a fun busy weekend. Wish me luck!

Haro's newest Pro team addition Seth Klinger went down getting ready for the Dew Tour a few weeks ago. It's that time on the year where Pro riders do their bigger tricks, and unfortunately Seth got hurt.

Seth has had surgery on his other knee before, so it's nothing new to Seth and we should see him back soon.

"What's up every one. Quick update on my injury. I blew out both acl and mcl and fractured my femur where it connects to the knee. I'll be Heading out to SD Monday aug. 8 to get surgery with Dr. Chao and should be healed up ready to go mid January/ early February. This week in Huntington Beach was the introduction of a new contest format, at the Nike 6.0 HB BMX Pro. Check out Nike's official press release about the event.

NIKE 6.0 BMX PRO CONTEST BRINGS PROGRESSION TO THE BEACH

The Nike 6.0 BMX Pro debuted a new format for 2011, with a combination live jam and filming contest. Each team consisted of three riders plus a filmer/editor, and the prize money was split evenly among all four. From Monday-Friday, the pros filmed on the course to produce the most progressive riding the beach has ever seen. The BMX Pro also consisted of two live jams, which impacted final scores, but the riding during the week is what the pros wanted to factor the heaviest into the scoring.

In fifth place was Team Reynolds, consisting of Garrett Reynolds, Augie Simoncini, Danny Hickerson, and Kelly Bolton. The judges were blown away by Reynolds’ riding, but they felt the video relied too heavily on him instead of the full team. (Note: Hickerson had to pull out of the event mid-week due to injury and was replaced by Bolton).

Team Captain Jason Phelan came all the way from Ireland for the event, and along with teammates Maxime Charveron and Jeremiah Smith, they produced one of the most fun videos of the event. Their great riding and vibe helped earn them fourth place.

Third place belonged to Team Wise (Rob Wise, Dakota Roche, and Pat Casey). While Wise and Roche handled the super-tech street lines, Casey did his magic on the box and quarterpipe, and the judges liked the mix.

The biggest debate for the judges came down to Team Enarson (Dennis Enarson, Josh Harrington, Tammy McCarley) and Team Kachinsky (Brian Kachinsky, Corey Martinez, Sean Sexton). Both teams were packed with incredible riders, and the diversity and quality of each video was top-notch. After a 20-minute debate, the judges decided that the crew-vibe, creative riding, and production quality gave that top spot to Team Kachinsky.

Four respected pro riders judged the Nike 6.0 BMX Pro (Van Homan, Leigh Ramsdell, Rob Darden, Jason Enns), and after watching the videos and jams, they crowned Team Kachinsky the King of the Beach.

Congrats Dennis, Josh and Tammy. Second place overall but winners of today's Jam.

"Hey everyone! Hope you guys are all having a good summer so far. Just a little update of whats been going on with me lately. I just got back from Maryland (Dew Tour) it was pretty awesome, Ive been just chillen out at Camp Woodward with everyone riding bmx, moto, wake boarding, and just having a good time. I'm leaving for Portland (Dew 2) in about a week and cant wait. I'm hoping to get a group of dudes to go ride Tigard and some other sick skate parks while we are out there to do some filming.

Enarson Silver in Street - Sunday at X-Games

Today at the X-Games, Dennis Enarson earned his 4th silver medal in the last 12 months. Last year at X-Games he got two silvers in BMX Park/Street and this year was a repeat. Today was a straight to final event with 10 riders, same jam format as BMX Park. 10 riders, 2 heats, top 2 riders from each heat qualify and the highest scored 3rd place rider from either heat advances to make up a 5 man superfinal.

Dennis was #1 qualifier in his heat and Garrett Reynolds was #1 out of his heat along with Dakota Rouche, Ty Morrow and Jeremiah Smith to round up the 5. Garrett went hard from the get and held down the lead but Dennis rode so well and earned silver followed by DAK. Congrats bud, you continue to make us proud year after year. Legend! Congrats to Garrett and DAK for their well deserved medals as well. X-Games is a wrap!!!!!

Today at X-Games was the final for BMX Park. After Thursday's prelims, the 20 rider field was narrowed down to a 10 rider final. The jam format was 2 heats of 5 riders each. The top 2 riders from each heat qualified into the superfinal and the 3rd place rider with the higher score from either heat would be the 5th guy in. Dennis qualified first in his heat and Nyquist unfortunately didn't qualify out of his heat. The superfinal was Dennis, Gary Young, Chase Hawk, Daniel Dhers and Scotty Cramner. Dennis lead the way all the way until Dhers last run where he tied Dennis with an 81 overall. Daniel had a better 3rd score than Dennis which gave him the tie breaker and the gold medal. A bit of a let down for Dennis after qualifying first in prelims and leading the superfinal until the end. That's Dennis though, win or lose he'll have a smile on his face.

Tomorrow at 4pm is BMX Street Final of 8 riders where Dennis will go for gold. With a silver in Park today, and two silvers last year, I'm anxious to see him bring down a gold. Congrats Dennis, you're a champ! -dB

Enarson Top Qualifier in BMX Park - Thursday at X-Games

At noon today was the prelims of BMX Park here at X. The contest is a jam session format split up into 4 groups of 5 riders to complete the 2o rider field. With the jam session, each rider gets 45 seconds at a time and the riders rotate through for 15 minutes per group. The crazy thing is when/if a rider puts their foot down during a run then times up for that run. The judges average your two best runs to equal your overall.

Heat number 1 was lead by Scotty Cranmer and his score held all the way through heat #2 but he was dethroned by none other than our boy Dennis Enarson in heat 3!! Nyquist was in heat 2 and wasn't very happy with his runs but I thought he rode well considering the course isn't really his style. With one more heat left to go, Ryan sat in 8th place taking 10 to the final. I was a bit worried for RyNy because some of the younger kids in heat 4 were rippers but the pressure got to the most of them and the only rider who was able to over take Ryan was Kyle Boldock, the new kid on the block. Ryan made the final qualifying in 9th place and Dennis stayed atop the leader board to qualify numeral uno. Great job guys.

Today at X-Games was an open practice all day for BMX Street and Park. Nyquist shredded the park course and Dennis bounced back and forth between the two. Before I saw the park course, I asked Ryan how he liked it as last years was a bit out of the ordinary, I didn't gather that he loved it but I'm sure he'll be a contender as usual. Shooting photos today on the park course was kind of funny because there's no box jump or anywhere you can post up for good photo ops. Most of the lines are bowl to bowl transfers and everything is really tight. It looked pretty fun to ride but contest wise it's definitely opposite of a Dew Tour park course. Street course was really cool I thought. I snapped this photo of the center divide, a rare sight at X-Games. If you're wondering what's rare, a photo without a US Navy, Speedstick or some other huge bilboard in the background.

I asked Dennis about the courses and the street course is his favorite of the two, most everyone thought BMX street was awesome. Well it's that time of the year again, X Games! Probably every BMXer's dream to ride in it and we have two very good riders going for gold.

Ryan Nyquist has been competing in the X Games for fourteen years and has thirteen medals!

Dennis Enarson at just 20 years of age, grabbed two silvers last year, and is looking better then ever this year.

Ryan competes in Park this year, and Dennis will be in Park and Street.

"When I wake up in the morning, I usually roll over, grab my phone, and check my email, facebook, and twitter for the latest and greatest of what's going on in the world of BMX. This morning was no different. I checked twitter (@ryannyquist) and hit some people back (a lot of well wishes for X Games... Thank you!), checked my fan page on Facebook, and then got around to my emails. There was an email in my inbox from Haro and the email was basically a forwarded message from a young man who stated, "Hi, my name is Nate Borrmann I am such a big fan of Ryan Nyquist. May I please have his autograph? Thank you so much!".

So it doesn't happen every single time, but we do reply to fan mail requests. This one in particular though was so polite and so nicely stated that I couldn't help to hook him up. So I found a free minute to go to the downtown Los Angeles post office and send Nate one of my personal t shirts with an autograph on it. Thanks for hitting me up Nate, and I hope you enjoy the t shirt!!

As for me, I'll be practicing on the park course today to try to get some lines figured out. Got two more days until qualifying!!! Wish me luck!"

"Things are about to get crazy. I'm packing my things up for the first Dew Tour today. Pretty excited to get there and see the rest of the Haro team. I had a hand in designing the Park Course with Dennis McCoy for this stop, so I'm very anxious to see the final result.

After that it's straight to X Games in Los Angeles. The courses for X Games are always a bit different from our usual park course... Cement, and it doesn't have your traditional obstacles on the course, so you really have to use your head and find some creative things to do.

Just yesterday I went to Fresno to ride an EPIC cement park to shoot some photos for an upcoming interview in The Albion Magazine out of the UK, and also to get some time in on the cement."

Nyquist Designs Dew Opening Course

July 21-24 The Dew Tour kicks off in Ocean City, Maryland.

The Haro team (Minus Nastazio because of park only) will be there. Nyquist, Enarson, Seth Klinger, Ronnie Napolitan, Allan Cooke and myself (Colin Mackay).

One of the coolest things about the event is that Haro's Ryan Nyquist actually got to design the course!

"Throughout the years, you get familiar with the different setups, and I just wanted to pack in all of my favorite ramps into one course, and make it so everything flowed really well. Having big ramps was really important to me. I wanted a course that you could ride with high speed, and do transfers, and offers different options. Just a really fun course where you could go big on stuff," said Nyquist earlier this week.

Dennis Enarson recently bought his first video camera.

Dennis travels the world and gets up to all kinds of fun at home, and he wanted to start capturing his experiences.

Two weeks ago the Haro and Premium teams spent the week at Woodward Camp and Dennis, Chad Kerley and Connor Lodes past the camera around and then Dennis put this all together. Dennis dubbed it "Ghetto" because he is learning how to edit and he wanted it a little rough looking. The riding is by all means not Ghetto!

Having a camera on hand during a session is the best, even if the footage sucks its still good to look back on one day. Get out there and get filming!
